Audio only when the screen is not the point
Audio-only mode replaces the iframe with artwork, a synthetic visualizer, timeline, transport controls, speed, and volume. It can reduce unnecessary video transfer when you are primarily listening.
- Lock-screen and background behavior still depends on the operating system and browser.
- Stream availability depends on the source returned by the media resolver.
- You can return to Video mode without opening a second page.
Local by default
History, Favorites, language, volume, playback speed, and cinematic preferences are stored locally in the browser. AdsFreeTube does not require a user profile for these features.
- Clearing History does not clear Favorites.
- Removing a Favorite does not remove its History entry.
- Private browsing or clearing site data can remove locally stored information.
